Aloha mai Joyce! I am moving to Austin from Honolulu and am thrilled that Hawaiian music and dance are alive and well in Texas! I am a recent graduate from UH Manoa and just earned my MA in music education. I LOVE your site and I look forward to coming down to San Antonio to learn and share the aloha spirit with you and your haumana! I also would like to organize some similar events in Austin that you and your ‘ohana in San Antonio can be a part of. “Aloha Y’all” indeed!

In the bittersweet days before I leave Hawaii, your site has given me a real reason to smile. Hawaiian music is the most beautiful in the world…the musicians are so talented, the poetry so rich, the hula so nuanced. I am so moved to see people such as yourself working to perpetuate these traditions in the United States. See you in San Antonio!

    A hui hou,
    Michelle Williams

    Aloha no!

Kala mai for not responding earlier. I have been moving and traveling for the past few months. This website has taken a backseat to my other activities.

I look forward to meeting you. When will you be in Austin?

I am sponsoring Herb Ohta, Jr workshops and House Concert in September - e hele mai.

You can email me directly at alohayall@satx.rr.com.
    A hui hou,
